I have RA but wasn't diagnosed with unt...Yikes! I have RA but wasn't diagnosed with until my 60s. I've been very fortunate in the ten years I've had it to have no serious problems. Well, not exactly. Last year they discovered three blocked arteries and recommended triple-bypass. They ended up putting in stents instead (I definitely wasn't arguing with that). The reason, because of my age, RA and the meds I take for the RA, I was a poor candidate for by-pass surgery recovery.<br /><br />My wife and oldest daughter both have the "bad vein" problem. Every time they go for a blood draw, or in the case of my wife, for child-birth, they go through multiple pokes of the needle. I feel so bad for them...and you. I've never heard of the jugular solution, though.
